Hey well my first day of pe is tommorow n I wanted to know how does it work with showering after?? U know like do we have to get naked? I'm kinda nervous. I go to a private school of that changes anything

in a private school you gotta down to your underwear they usually don't require you to shower. public schools usually do.

It would really be odd if you you are not doing what everyone is doing.

Since it's the first day, everyone would likely be as shy as everyone else, minus exbitionist.
Playing by ear would seem to be the best way out.
Blending in is the first step to survival, this does not apply only in hs, but whenever you are introduced to an alien environment.

i'm also in private school, and we have to shower, completely nude. it's no big deal. just get in, shower, and get out. there isn't a lot of time, so i wouldn't worry too much. i think we only have 10-15 minutes to shower, get dressed and out of the locker room.

I dont know if you have to shower with your underwear on or off, but at my public school, most of us just shower naked anyway because most all the guys in my weight training class are on the football team so we see each other naked after practice everyday. At first it will be awkward, but it will get natural after a while. Just remember that everyone in there should be more concentrated on cleaning off instead of staring at what everyone else is doing.

I'm also in private school and we don't have to shower but most eveyone does. Yh, it's a little nervous the first couple of times but then yu get used to it. Just shower & towl off and change and you'll be fine.

we have to shower or fail PE. you might be nervous the first few times but so will others. guys look around but natural curiousity for the most part. as others said, shower up and dress and it's over quickly. I'm glad we shower, so i'm clean for the next class. wouldn't want to be sweaty and smelly the rest of the day around others.

It really depends on the school. Some schools (private or public) make their students shower while others don't have to shower. Every school is different so sometimes it depends on what you want to do.

When i went to school, we gave out every year because we did not have showers, the year i left was the year we got them, just remember everyone will be as nervous as you are if you have to shower, its a new experience for all of you, just concentrate on what you have to do

It honestly depends on the school.. The public high schools don't require showers, I actually don't think they even allow you time to shower. Just ask the Coach or a staff member and they will be able to tell you. (:

I really don't get what the big deal is. I'm starting high school Monday. We had the option last year in jr. high to shower and almost everyone did. You just smell if you don't. We are all guys with the same equipment so why do some guys get so hung up about getting naked with other guys?

My HS doesn't require it, but they give you time. We have shower pillars with like 5 heads on each. Since I'm pretty chubby I get sweaty whenever there is a lot of running, so I shower when I need it. There are a few other people in the class who shower too. The pillars are adjacent to the lockers, so anyone at a locker can just look over and see people showering. I didn't have a problem with anyone really looking or saying anything. No one really wants to admit they were watching the fat kid shower. Just finish quickly and towel off. No one cares that much.

In Australia at my school in Victoria our P.E classes were only about 90 minutes or so once a week, when you add setting up explaining of the games organising packing up and the time getting changed there was only like an hour of proper physical sport involved so no one really showered, our change rooms were just full of benches to keep you're bags on, there were only three individual cubical showers that only ever saw used once or twice. No one really needed to showered, we all just got changed back into our uniform and that was the end of it.

Theres never usually time to shower, ya get like 7,8 mins before the end of PE to change back into your uniform. I usually have Roll on Deodorant, and AXE Body Spray, you'll be aite.

It depends on the school. Mine doesn't require showering (public school) and it has shower cubicles for if you WANT to shower.

Well everybody typically is a lil nervous bout bein naked around others at first (there will of course be some who aren't). I know I had to get used to it really quick because we were overcrowded in our locker room. You really do get used to it, I know that's hard to believe right now, but you will.
Don't shower with your underwear on. This will draw attention to you and that's what you really wanna avoid right? Main thing is if you don't make a big deal out of it it wont be one. You also have to remember that guys clown a lot, so there's gonna be all kindsa talk and some laughin and whatever. Don't let it freak u out. Just shower and move on and you'll be cool. If attention does get drawn to you, again just shower and move on. It will work out man. :) Good luck!

At my school its not required to get naked, some do and others don't. It sleeps ds in how comfortable you feel being naked around other guys I guess. But I always got naked, we're all the same anyway, no body really does anything anyway because we're trying to put our clothes on asap

In my school you have to shower after PE every day from 7th grade to 10th grade and it is mandatory. no shower, no grade, no pass. Everyone is nervous the first time but everyone has to do it. i just started 11th grade and its no big deal at all now.

I think wearing underwear into the shower is about the only that WOULD get you teased at my school. Everyone showers and I've never heard anyone teased about size or pubic hair or anything. But showering in underwear would be weird.
