do you mean like military combat boots, or like just fashion-styled combat boots. If you mean the hipster combat boots, go ahead and wear them. But if you mean the legit military combat boots, i suggest not. I believe military boots are only for people who are in training for the military or are in the military. I cant stand seeing people wear combat boots just for fashion.

Depends on what subculture you're looking at. What's considered 'fashionable' varies greatly between different groups of people and different time periods. If something was never in fashion, nobody would have ever worn it.

exactly. I remember a few months ago where i seen groups of people wearing black combat boots just to wear with their clothes. I could never figure out what fashion statement they were trying to show or prove. I gotta wear my tan military boots every week and i cant stand them after 8 hours of army training. But i guess those people who wear combat boots for fashion dont ever run in them and use them how they were supposed to be used....training for combat or already in combat. But, to each his own i guess.

Depends on who you ask. If you ask me, yes, they're in style. But that various greatly depending on what group of people you're speaking to.

theyre alright as long as your wearing them for a reason not just to look good i wear my steel toed usmc ones that my dad gave me cuz i work in a welding shop and theyre the best boots that ive found so far just learn how to make em shine

It seems that back in the day when everyone wore black boots, the options were limited. These days, with the desert boot out and less focus on "military issue only" boots (due to extended Ops Combat environment and less trim) options are open. I just finished 5 months of training, 3 of the Basic Course IBOLC be or Chief of Infantry, and during that time have had the opportunity to put a good few sets of boots through the steps.
