I don't know if I'm putting this in the right section so if not, mods, feel free to move it! This was just the best I could think of.

So, I have hated my nose since I was around 13 and have really wanted to have rhinoplasty to change it. It's not like huge or weird or anything, I just think it looks like a man's nose, especially from the side...

I've attatched some pictures. they're not great but maybe you can see what I'm talking about.

So, I kind of want to ask whether you think I need one, but I'm a little afraid of the answers, but mainly I want to ask if anyone has had one? And if they have, can they tell me what it was like, how much it hurt, how long recovery took...stuff like that.

And also, I've heard that it can affect your voice. Now, I really want to be a singer so I don't want that so is that true?

Honey, your nose is fine. You don't need the surgery.

I htink you look fine, cute even. And yes, rhinoplasty can affect your speaking voice but in my eyes it should not effect your singing voice because you should not be singing through your nose.

I will not tell you not to do rhinoplasty -- if it makes you feel better, then do it.

Do not be shameful, Rhinoplasty is an ancient plastic surgery, and it is the most common plastic surgery.

Really, I don't commend of people playing with the structure of their face, except of the nose. Shape it to whatever you want, and to whatever makes you comfortable.

Once I get my piece, I will remove the bump on my nose, and shorten it a bit. It's too aquiline for me.

Aww thank you, that really means a lot :)

Its probably a good thing I am broke so if I did have the surgery it would be a very long and well thought out...I don't know if I'd actually do it though...

I think it's really cute. The nose is awesome. It's okay, because it really brings out your individuality.

I think your nose is absolutely OK. I thought about nose job a lot too because mine looks like a potato to me but I don't really know. I don't trust surgeons that much and don't have money to do it.

It actually does. As it effects your speaking voice, it effects your singing voice.
Some even have nose jobs to 'better' their singing voice.
