Tommorrow I'm going to school to collect my results for the GCSE I did in June (RS Short Course in Hinduism). This result doesn't matter to university application because I'm not doing a full RS course (the shirt course is compulsory at my school for some reason). Anyway I'm nervous as I can put it on my UCAS form if I want. Any tips for coping with nerves?

I know its too late now, but the way i deal with nerves is by writing down why im nervous, and then reasons why i shouldnt be, like knowing i have revised and worked hard. I have also done the short course in re :D

How did you do?

Alright, coming from experience here.. Don't run before you can walk. Now is the time to make mistakes, you dont have to rush to get into University courses, you don't need to find the quickest route or anything like that, the best idea is to take it slowly because then you can't miss anything and you see every possible route. You'll be putting every qualification you have on your UCAS form, remember its there for you to sell yourself, the university will be looking for its best choices to take on. It might not require the grade but they'll be looking at your past grades as a rough guide on how you are as a student and your academic skills. I'm glad you did well, best of luck with your A-Levels.

GCSE's get more competitive each year, it used to be mostly C's was the norm. Now you see so many kids coming out with A*'s as average.

But congratulations with your results and don't let it go to your head, that's the best advice anyone could give you, A levels are a major step up in comparison.
