im sorry if this doesnt have much to do w/ puberty, but i just need to know. i am 13, and a bit over weight. my body structure as always been thick and muscular, but in recent years, ive put on quite a bit of weight. its not like im 200 punds or anything, but more like 140-145 depending on the time of day. as i said, my body is naturally big, but i really wanan lose the weight, but i find it almost impoassble. any timei try to diet, i just cant stop eating when im at home, when im out, no problem, but my mom keeps restocking the cabinits w/ chips and junk food. there is a bit of healthy stuff, but i end up grabbing the junk, and i can stop for a day or 2, but i just cant seem to stop permanently. i do karate a few times a week for an hour, im a 2nd degree black belt, but i REALLY wanna lose weight. does any1 have any tips and or tricks on how to? plz help me.

well you are right about junk food, you gotta stop eating it. maybe talk to your mom about it and see if she will limit what she brings in.
as far as healthy snacks, you can cut up veggies and eat those with a little ranch, not much or you'll be ruining a healthy snack.
cut soda out of your diet completely. and when you are hungry and it's not a meal time, drink water, not anything else, unless it's milk and low fat milk. stay away from whole. instead of juice, eat fruit, it's better to eat your fruit than drink it.
when it comes to losing weight, you want to do cardio work-outs. so walk or run. you need to build it up until you are sweating and then continue your activity or 15-20 minutes. do this for a week then continue for an additional 10 minutes until you make it up to an hour or more beyond the point of sweating. remember, you want to keep the same cardio rate, you don't want to work up your system, then slow it down.

thanks. ill try it for as long as i can. im tired of having the worst mile time in gym, and im tired of looking at myself ashamed. ill get back to you eventually about what has happened. oh and what about diet sodas? i dont drink soda much, but what about diet sodas?
