Have you ever dated someone of the opposite sex as a closeted gay? Personally the only girls I'd ever consider dating I care far to much for to lead them on. I've had tons of girls want a relationship, but I could never....

well I dated a few girls before I realized and accepted I was gay...actually there was sort of one girl I did date when I was a closet gay, however, I was only partially accepting of the fact that I was gay...so not really :P
I don't know if I could have...it just seems so mean :(

I dated two girls before I realized to make them happy, I wasn't interested in them, but I figured I would be a good friend and make them happy.
I'm still like 90% closeted, it's cozy in here. :3

i'm sorry society has "forced" you to have to stay in the closet. i highly respect you for respecting girls enough to not use them and lead them on. that takes a real man, no matter what anyone says.
other than that, i'm straight, or i think - i'm still very young lol - so it's not something i've had to worry about. i at this point, find girls attractive and not boys.

Excellent! Society is a bitch, but we all learn to adapt don't we.
I agree with chris that it takes a real man to not lead them on.
Having a relationship for the sake of having one is generally not wise, moreover conflicting with your own preference would be catastrophic.
It must have taken loads to not even do it for showmanship.
I'm bi so either genders are fine, but I'm more inclined to guys; considering I'm attached to a guy at the moment.
To be honest, I've never done the dating, but lesbians have dated me for showmanship, but as a friend I'd cover for them.
There's no right or wrong, only opinions and perspectives.
But if we really think about it, we can lie to anyone and everyone but... ourselves.
You are truly brave and worthy of respect, standing by what you really are, takes plenty.
Cheers
