I am fairly sure I am schizophrenic, as there is two of me. (If you want more info here just ask). However, I am normally in control as I am cleverer. The problem is, my "other half" is very rude and violent, and if I get tired takes over. Yesterday I was at a party and was very tired, and he took over and tried to kill one of my freinds. I am really worried he will kill someone and I won't be able to get back in control in time. What should I do?
P.S. Don't tell me to go on meds, no matter how horrible he is he is a part of me, and is (kinda) my freind, as I can see the reasons behind what he does.
P.P.S. If you want to talk to him, just ask and I'll let him answer your questions.

This sounds more like Dissociative Identity Disorder (Split Personality Disorder). Are you aware of his presence and when he "takes over"?

I am completely aware of him, and still sense things when he takes over.
I thought having two personalities was schizophenia? Oh well, better go reseach what I've actually got.

Split personality is not the same as schizpohrenia. As far as I'm aware the person experiences blackouts when the other personality takes hold and are, untill told by other people about the second personality, completely unaware of it.

well, I am still completely aware when he is in control, and we often have lengthy conversations, so maybe it is a bit like that, but different. Will continue my research into what I really have.
<edit>
That does seem to be what I have, there are documented cases of the separate personalities being aware of each other. I will have to go to a shrink and get myself checked out. :(

Schizophrenia also could be just one person with extreme mood and attitude swings. Other Schizo's can hear the other person, but the person can't take over. Although they can persuade them to do bad.

ok, I've been checked out, and I do have DID, and I will now have to undergo weekly sessions with a shrink and talk to him and let my "other half" talk to him too so he can find out what type of treatment I need. :( I don't want treatment, I like always having someone to talk to!

I'm sorry about your diagnosis..I totally understand where you are coming from with the shrink...I still have mine *ugh* he blows...last time I was with him...he started attacking me, saying that I bottle up all my emotions and will hurt myself again if I can't be proud of myself...I know, lame...but I still have to see him...major bummer...
