I came out to a group of my friends yesterday. We were at school and during lunch we were talking about what would you do if you found out your friend was gay or bi (bi for me). It wasn't even me that brought the conversation up, but everyone said they wouldn't care because its normal, and not a choice. I jumped at the opportunity to come out because this was perfect timing, surprisingly they said they already thought that! I had been wanting to come out for a bit now but could never find the right time. Now that i have its like a majour weight of my shoulders!

However, i have told my close friends and my close friends only. I am going to tell my family very soon but i am very very nervous of this part, i think that if my friends already thought that then my parents would aswell.. atleast i hope. So for any people that have came out to there parents, how did you do it and how did they take it? My parents are pretty understanding and have gay friends so i don't think i have anything to worry about, but im still aprehensive!

HEY that awesome, congrats on coming out to friends. I know exactly how you feel now that, part is over. That is a big first step, and when i cam out as bi to most of my friends they were like, "Yea Ty.. that's not to surprising, and we still love you." my friend Jessica asked what took me so long.... So it was really cool. Yea I think most of our good /close friends know already.

Now as for parents... i think they know too, deep down i really do. Here i can not offer you any good advice, its just go's unsaid in our house. I still bring girls over and talk about them, but im sure the see me act when im with my boyfriend, or how sometimes i light up when he comes over. I know that both of my parent have good gay friends some who come over to the house too. I know that they well support me, and love me, yet i just cant seem to get the words to come out of my mouth. Sorry.

Once you come out to freinds a whole new world opens up to you, you can talk with girls about sexy boys, you see at the mall and school. And you don't have to feel like you have to walk on eggs shells all the time. Congrats on telling your friends. YOU ARE AWESOME....

My parents now know! like tyler i could not seem to get the word out so i wasnt even going to tell them, but they found it! turns out it went round the school pretty fast that i was bi and my sister found out and asked them. they thought it would be a joke so my mom asked me if i was bi and i said yes. she was really ok with it! she said she had always had her suspisions but never wanted to ask incase she embaressed me. im just happy she accepted me for who i am, not like i had any doubt she wouldnt but its good to know she does.

It feels great to be completley out, i feel like a free man now!

Hey Dylan... Total congratulations on everything... thats really cool and i am glad that everything so far has worked out for you, first your friends and now mum and dad ( sis too i guess)... I dont have alot of "answers" to share with you, but i always give you my best advice. Some day i well tell my parents too< but im sure they already know...
