right I am really worried about my friend, today in English our teacher was talking about schizophrenia nd my friend used to hav an imiginary friend called Frank, he left 12yrs ago and he came bak 2day and she has been crying every time she sees him and she drawn me a pic of him and he luks really scary. so is she attention seeking or is she really seen him agen?

im no expert but i no abit about attention seeking friends and the lengths which they go..

I dont think someone would make this sort of thing up, and if shes upset every time she sees him, She must be genuinely scared.
However it does seem odd that he 'comes back' when ur teacher talks about schizophrenia.... maybe it triggered they memory of him rather than the actual him.

Maybe keep an eye one her. dont go out of ur way to talk about him, if he IS there, he will scare her even if u dont bring it up. If she starts acting strangely like she looks 'a mile away' then it could be serious.

Back to the problem. Ask her freinds/ other people she's around. If she consistantly acts like that, then he is real (to her). All you can do is stay with her and support her. DON'T TRY TO TELL HER HE'S NOT REAL IF SHE DOESN'T KNOW! It could rip her apart.
