So I came to this realization, and I wanted to post it here. Don't ask me why. But I was thinking, and I realized that I'm not going to hide my sexuality. If people are going to change their views of me because of it, then it's their loss, and I deserve better than them. I have a few friends who know about my sexuality, and they've been so supportive. I went to this one girls house with my girlfriend and they all acted like it was so normal.

I posted a thread in here about how I wished I was straight and how I felt l could never be myself. But I found out, and I hope you all find out, that that's not true. I don't have a lot of faith in the world for obvious reasons, but I have faith that there are people out there who are accepting, and there's more of them than we think.

And you know how we can all make a difference? By not being afraid, not being afraid to hold hands in public, to make it known that we love who we love. That makes a change, makes this more normal to others. The more they see it, the more 'normal' it becomes. So I just wanted to say to you guys, don't be afraid to be who you are. You were made that way for a reason, and that reason isn't to hide in fear.

It's about time we make the world understand Gay Love is just as Valid as Straight.

Yeah, but don't yell "IM GAY" to the world. A small number of furries got the whole fandom hated by yelling it all the time everywhere. Talk about too much pride. As long as you are just you, no need to tell everyone, you are on the right track. Be yourself, but don't tell everyone who you are. If they give a shit they will ask, then you can tell them.

I wish I could believe in this but there is so much hatred in this world for being 'different' that to me I can only hope others will in time come to 'accept' us as normal.

There has only been one moment when I have felt truly 100% proud of who I was, and that was at Gay Pride. The support and the amount of people that turned up there was astounding, there were so many people there; lesbian, gay, straight, bi, trans. It was amazing. Seeing things like that, gives me hope for the future, that the minority will become the majority. That more people will be accepting of gay people. I know there will still be homophobic people out there but they'll be in the minority.

I agree with everyone here, that there should be more people like you. And we are all amazing and we should be allowed the chance to show the world that we are amazing, not just something that people have found on the bottom of their shoes. At the end of the day we are all human.
