OK, so this weekend, we went to the sea side, (coast) for a day trip.
They took me on a Pirate Boat ride! I am 13 not 3.
Why do they always insist on treating you like babies??

Who hasn't? Parents are overprotective, that's their "job." And you would only understand "if you were a parent"

That's what parents do. I don't know anyone that hasn't, at some point, have been treated like kids younger than their age. Get over it, it's not going to stop.

Exact Opposite, My parents think it's ridiculous to expect someone to grow and be independent if they baby them. I've been doing laundry Since I was 8, Cooking since I was 10, and doing pretty much everything else after that. I'll be doing all the shopping once I can drive. On the positive, My Parents trust me in my free time to do what I please.

It only happened once with my mother, but that was when I was 5... For the rest of the time I lived with her, I'd sometimes have to go out and get my own food. With my dad, I'm treated like my age. Sometimes even as an adult :)
But, think about it this way. Would you rather your parents be over protective of you, or them not caring what so ever about where you are?

Parents would and always be parents, regardless how old we grow, in their eyes, we would always be kids.
Considering they have been paying our bills, doing our clothes and listening to how cool we thought we were.
That's what my natural mum told me, we may not agree to it now, neither did she when she was younger. But in due time, when we all learn to be responsible parents, this would be the same path we will walk.
In due when our rents are gone, no one will forgive us for our wrongs so readily, no one will pick up the mess we leave behind willing.
Overworked, Never paid, under appreciated, but surely committed.
That's what being a parent is about.

if your avatar is your picture, you look really young, not that that's a reason for them to treat you that way. i also look really young. not only do my foster parents treat me young, but so does everyone it seems. i'm 14 and still get kiddie menu's and it's annoying!

My parents do this to me sometimes too, thats why i like to take a friend with me when we go on trips. But i have also found that sometimes i just go alone with and try really hard to get in to what ever it is, and most of the time i end up having a good time.
