View Full Version : Eating disorder?

Am I developing an eating disorder? When I'm at home, I hardly eat, only when I have to, when parents cook dinner - so they don't become suspicious. Or when I'm at the girlfriend's house and she practically forces me to eat, 'cause I refuse to.
Like, today, I've not eaten a single thing and it's nearly 3pm.
I just don't feel the need to eat, I don't want to.
Is this the starting of an eating disorder or am I just over-reacting as usual?...

That depends. Do you want to eat less and be skinny? Do you hate the way you look or crave control? If you don't, probably not. But we're not professionals so we can't give you a diagnosis.

It most definitely sounds like the start of an ED but like Z said we can't diagnose you.
It'd be best to get help before this becomes MUCH worse.

Eating disorders don't get better on their own. Recover before it gets way too hard. Anorexia is not the answer. Skinny is not worth the consequences. You'll just end up more miserable than you ever were and you'll end up heavier than you ever were.
Anorexia ruined my life. It's worse than an entire life of being bipolar, it's worse than self-harm, worse than OCD, worse than -anything-. I was in so much pain and I will be for the rest of my life, I dropped to 50 pounds, I'm surprised I'm alive.
I'm here if you need me. And read this if you have the time: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=110035
Good luck.
