Do you guys know when is the age we would eventually stop growing? I am 17, 5ft 9; my parents are a couple of inches shorter than me.

I know 5'9 is pretty much an average height but lately I've been wishing to be atleast 2-3 inches taller. That is because a legit model agent from VNY approached me in the streets of SoHo (I live in NY) not long ago. When he approached me, he asked my age, and told me that they could really use me as a talent because of my unique look. The problem is, he said it was such a big shame that I'm not that tall enough so he just asked me to come by to their agency once I reach 5'11. I was surprised and frustrated at once because I googled VNY and it is such a HUGE deal!

So what do you think? will I still grow? Any suggestions to help me reach 5'11? Will height- increasing supplements work?

Thanks.

i believe guys grow until their early to mid twenties, so you have time, but if your parents are short, you probably will be also. darn genetics! i'm really small and want to grow also, but i haven't really started puberty yet either.

I am 17 and 5-6. Its all in the genes--parents and g-parents height can be a good indicator of how tall you will be. Some doctors can tell you generally by looking at you r bone structure. Im not sure about supplements to "assist" I'm pretty sure you cant influence that with "help".

YOu may grow a little more but I really do not know. Most guys stop growing between 21 and 25 from my findings but it all has somehting to do with genetics, sorry man.

Yupp, from what I have read and heard, that last small growth spurt happens at the tail end of puberty. I have a male cousin and he grew about 2 inches (slowly over time) between 17 and 19. He's now about 6 feet one inch.

but if your parents are short, you probably will be also.

Here's the thing, if Loejjie's grandfather is tall, there's every reason to believe he will still grow some. Male genetics are funny that way.

You can still be going through puberty into you early twenties so you could still grow up until then, plus I think that height is practically the only thing that changes after puberty with regards to body. Nobody can tell you how tall you will be really, your doctor could give you a rough idea, because there's so many things that could have already (or may in the future) affect your development and therefore height.
