OK so lately there's this girl in spanish class that i just can't keep my eyes off but I promised friends and family I won't let girls distract this year after a horrible year last year, (I barely passed).

But whenever I just try to block it out, there's been signs that point me to her.

Like yesterday's horoscope on facebook:

"The new intimacy you've been feeling between you and a certain someone isn't going anywhere, but the volume will be turned up a few hundred decibels. Urgent? Oh, yes. Better be sure you've got time for this.
Compatibility: Pisces
Mood: Sweet
Lucky Color: Brown
Lucky Number: 23
Lucky Time of Day: 5pm"

Her last name is Brown and she's a Pisces. ironic eh!

And now a status saying that she is tired of being ignored.

I feel like the stars are aligning to see that we are together. I believe in destiny and fate, but I didn't know the signs would be yelling at me.

So what do you all think about this situation?

Um, Horoscope's are fun, but 100% percent fake. Especially one from Facebook.

I think you're looking for reasons to go after her. I'm not saying that you shouldn't btw, Everyone deserves to have someone.

You barely passing concerns me, I think your parents are right in that regard. School isn't hard if you put just a little bit of effort.

The barely passing was last year. And it's a miracle that i'm actually in 11th grade right now. but i tend to blame that on puberty. mainly cause i was paying attention to the girls more than my grades. but this year i made a promise to the family, friends, and God that i wouldn't pursue any kind of relationship this year.

But the horoscope just seemed soooo ironic it was actually starting to worry me.

I suggest you do some research on 'confirmation bias.'

Umm the horoscope is nothing more than a coincidence..

I suggest that you make grades your first priority...because yeah, with a little effort it doesn't take that much to make decent grades in high school, usually. With that being said, if you think you have time to talk to this girl without getting in the way with your grades, then go for it. But grades first.
