what is vaginal discharge? my friend says its not nice but she wont tell me exactly what it is

Vaginal discharge i believe is the fluid that comes out of the vagina, some woman can't do it, it usually happens when a girl orgasms. She could be meaning her period though...who knows

it is mucus that comes out of a woman's vagina usually during an orgasm- not all women can do it, and they dont always do it. It is similar to pre-cum.

WTF muccous? muccous is snot! the stuff that comes out during periods is BLOOD (I'm a guy and even i know that, learned it in Biology) thats why sum ppl call it there monthly bleed! and it only ocours once not twice a month! I dont know what vaginal discharge is but i know that it isnt muccous! U wud b betta off askin girls in the puberty for girls!

HAHAHAHA! Dude, thats called a Period. Mucous is just thick bodily fluid. In your nose, it dries up into boogers, and then...



but, vaginal discharge is any bodily fluid that comes out of the vaginal besides blood, or urine. It can sometimes be healthy, and sometimes dangerous. A lot of STI's have symptoms with Vaginal Discharge, but its also perfectly normal.

Vaginal discharge is pretty much a liquid that comes out of the vagina, blood, lubrication, YOU NAME IT.. Dont beleive the mucus stuff, woman dont sneeze out of their vaginas ;)

You can get different types of mucous, mucous isnt just snot lol!
There are mucosal cells in the vagina/cervix that secrete it.

It is normal and healthy and is there to keep the vagina clean, moist and to help prevent/fight etc any infections.
The texture of it changes with a girls menstrual cycle as its function varies throughout the cycle.
A change in the discharge can be an indication of an infection, however, its presence alone does not indicate that there is anything wrong!

Wow, dannyl, no offense, but you seem ignorant, I've known that mucous exists in the vagina since like 6th grade... And did you seriously go on google to prove mucous does not exist in the vagina, if so I would like to know the site name so I could sue them for being dumbasses. :)
