So my best friend has been at mine for like a week now, and i was looking for my nail polish, and i KNOW where i put it, and i saw a nail polish lid poking out of her bag, and i looked and it was my nail polish with the label removed.

Also, i let her borrow my favorite top, when she was getting changed i told her to put it in the wash basket, she said she had, but my mum just told me its not in the wash at all...

What should i do? Would she really betray me?

It really depends how you intend to go about it,
Its pretty hurtful to find out certain things at times,
Although its innocent untill proven guilty, you have to be more alert to get the prove you want.

Talking to her upfront may result in drastic results, you may lose a friend, but if shes really your friend, i dont think she should be stealing from you.
But what if shes really innocent?
Then it would scar the friendship.

I suppose you would need to gather more evidience before doing anything else.
Its more hurtful and disappointing than anything else, to actually nab your friend and someone whom you would trust.

All the best

If she is really a friend, I would try to get a fresh start with her. Let her think out her actions and save face as well. Not everyone has a clear perception that theft is always forbidden in all situations.

Gather your facts together in a way she won't be able to try to refute, confront her, then quickly move on to how you feel (damage to the friendship) and what you want to do about it (forget it and start over THIS ONE TIME).

Try to understand that her upbringing or situation may be leading her down paths you don't agree with, and as a major factor in her life, you want to help guide her on what you, and the rest of the world, expects.

Hmm...likely yes she could steal from you. Remember don't trust anyone cause erm they let you down. They show there true colours at the end of what there really like. Try giving her something she would want like get an item of your things you hardly use or don't care about much and give it to her so she can borrow it and ask her you would like it back at monday or something and if she hasn't gived it back then she's a theif. You can call it a sneaky plan. ^^

We can't really tell you if your friend is stealing from you because only you can actually know that.

What you do is really up to you. You could confront her and ask her why, leave it and see if she takes anything else or look at the possibility that she isn't stealing and it's all a coincidence.
