I think my luck has run out. I never have cleaned my blades (can't be bothered) and rarely clean the cuts but I noticed this morning that last night's are very inflamed and sort of... oozy. That makes me nauseous.

Does anyone know of natural ways to fend this off before it gets bad? I've heard garlic is a natural antibiotic but it might be a tad suspicious (and disgusting) if I start eating through our supply of garlic.

I will not go to the doctor's so don't even suggest it.

Besides washing it often with warm water and soap, shouldn't rubbing alcohol help with an infection? Or is it something else ?

I always put antibiotic ointment on my cuts. I never clean my blades and I haven't gotten a bad infection yet

1. Clean with warm soap and water and then patt dry with a clean hand towel
2. Apply a small mount of Hydrogen Peroxide to a cotten ball and then dabb it on the cut
3. Wait until the foaming has stopped
4. Re-do step 2 and 3 with a clean cotten ball
5. Apply triple-antibiotic ointment
6. Place a band-aid on it during the day and uncover at night

Hope it helped

Antiseptic wipes are always helpful, just to keep it clean.

Honey, do what dimitri said. And next time, clean your blades with alcohol wipes and rinse them with warm water. But really, try not to do it at all. But I know that may be asking too much. But take care of yourself. Good luck, jo. We're here if you need us <3

My luck against infections ran out... I guess I'll just keep my blades clean because I can't stop. I can't even bring myself to try. Sorry that I can't do that for you or anyone else. :(

Honey, you have to do it for -you-. Not anyone else. I used to eat for my mother when I was recovering. For my father. Not me. In the end -you- have to do it for -you-. You're worth recovery, angel. You truly are. Don't give up. Believe. Look at your rep. Look at the people whom you've helped, who admire and look up to you. I know I'm one of them.

I know doing it for yourself is useles... Like I cut because I don't give a shit about myself or my life anymore.. Do it for anyone you care about.. With me its my neice.x if you've got a baby sister/brother/cousin whatever, just think how it'll effect their lives in the future..
I mean hey, I can hardly take my own advise but its worth a try <3
