Persuading Mom.

So I've been in a long distance relationship since June 6. He's in Vancouver and I'm in South Florida. He's coming to Orlando August 21 through August 28 with his family (who knows me) on vacation. Unfortunately, Orlando is a 3 hour drive, and school starts August 22.

LUCKILY, my dad just so happens to be going on a business trip to Orlando August 24 through August 26. Seriously, how fucking cool is that? He said he'll take me to see him if it's okay with my mom.

I'd be going to school Monday and Tuesday, and then Wednesday-Friday be off.

I think it's okay because I'm only going to that school for 2 weeks anyway, I'm moving and switching schools early September.

But, I'm afraid she'll say no because my grades sucked last year, and because she's uptight sometimes.

I really have no clue how she's going to react.

How can I persuade her to let me go with my dad? This is seriously SUCH a huge opportunity, I think it's worth 3 days off a school that I'm not even going to for the whole year.

Edit: Oh btw she also knows about Spencer already and how he's coming to Florida and how I've been meaning to find a way to see him, so it's not a totally out-of-the-blue concept to her.

start showing her now that you are responsible enough. take on more responsibility at home, without being asked! talk about being excited for school so you can improve this year. tell her how you plan to improve. play yourself up before asking basically.
