Sorry it's dumb but is it true that you can't be in the army if your gay? I know it's dumb but I was watching and movie and they wouldn't let this guy go cause he was gay.....

If you live in USA i believe they have the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. So you can be in it and be gay, but if you tell them you can't. Thats my understanding of it anyway.

Yes, in the United State's there's the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. If you do tell then you get discharged. That said if you ever get recruiters calling you when you turn 17 or 18 tell them you're gay and they won't call back.
