so maybe about an hour ago or so i got bit by a couple mosquitoes. They got really big, so i put bactine and pretty much cordaid on it. Right above the right side of my colar bone, and then right next to my lip on the right side were where the bites were. They went down so you can't see them completely clearly. But now the right side of my face is numb, and my throat is hurting. I took a benadryl and told my mom about my pain, and she decided to blow me off, and i'm pretty concerned because I dont want to wake up dead tomorrow for not breathing. So does anyone half alergies to mosquitos and could tell me if this is a mild alergy

it could be a reaction, but severe reactions tend to happen quickly, not slowly. if you start having difficultly breathing or you notice your tongue swelling, then you need to get medical help right away! this could either be a mild reaction, or physosematic.

well my face was getting numb right away so i'm hoping its a mild reaction. *sigh* the downside of benadryl. You never quite know if your symptoms are symptoms

if you're breathing ok, i wouldn't worry to terribly much, but i'd be careful and i'm sure this isn't your first ever bite. does this always happen? it could be due to the fact it's on your face and you put stuff on it.

i thought of that and it probably is from the bactine. I never usually put anything on bites but these were pretty bad so yeah probably the bactine. thanks

It sounds to me like you are having a little more than normal reaction to to the bite. I think that you could place a cold compress on the area and then go to bed, set your alarm to wake up half way through the night so you can look at the area again and then if it looks fine you can go back to bed.
