Why do I miss you so?

That was the day, that we changed the Status Quo.
We decided it was time to split.
Time for us to call it a day.

I just can't go on like this, if I may.
I feel the depression creeping.
The suicide -thoughts a raising,
Common Sense starts sleeping.
We missed the year appraising.
The suicide becomes stronger,
The knife sits there gleaming.
I can't take this feeling much longer.

I want this life to be perfect.
A high bar I know,
Especially after we wrecked,
