No. The age gap in terms of maturity, interests and experience would be too big to overcome in most cases.

I personally wouldnt go out with someone having that big of an age difference, but if your both comfortable with it, I guess its OK.

I wouldn't do that.
I would want a girlfriend that's either same age as me, or one year younger.

Ooh, no. At sixteen? Ehhh... My question is what twenty-three year-old wants to date a sixteen year-old...
My ex-husband is in his twenties. Early twenties as well, but regardless. I went to school with him though, and we didn't start dating till I was seventeen, so I'm a bit hypocritical. But seven years is a big jump for a teenager and an adult. As well, you want to look at personality. If you're as mature as I am, it shouldn't be an issue. We got along fine in that department, it was just the realization that I was gay that ended the relationship.
I always date older myself, but take into consideration differences. It's good to be different, but major age gaps like that, especially when you're as young as 16 and 23 it's a bigger jump than say, 38 and 45. It can be a huge hurdle to clear. Like I said, it only works for me because I'm way beyond my years.

I would go if I really liked that guy. No legal issues in my country.
It is not for other people to judge if too old or too young. In some sense that kind of relationship could be much more safe as he is much more mature and secure in many ways. Only I wouldn't rush things! I must be sure!

16 and 23 is a bit of a jump. If you were a bit older then it wouldn't be so bad, like Rith said, age gaps of that size start to mean less and less as the younger becomes older. Obviously it's up to you really but my, and others here, opinion is that she's a little too old.
Edit: We've all assumed that she knows you're 16. Presumably she does know?

Personally I wouldn't do it. My girlfriend is 9 months younger than me and my ex-boyfriend was 2 and abit years older than me. It didn't work out. We were too different. I guess it just depends on personality and maturity - as has been already said.

No. But as I have said TOO MANY times I wouldn't date period. Don't want to get married. Don't want to waste my time/money on dating.

I don't see myself going with a 23-years old person. But maybe if I would feel what you feel, I would do.
If you REALLY love her/him, then go for it!!! ;)

I personally wouldnt do date anyone that's not my age.... Maybe 1 year older or younger, but thats as far as I'm willing to go... I think it's creepy how a 23 year old even wants to go out on a date with a kid that's still in school! O.o
