My aunt inspired me to do it and I'm currently training 6 days a week, with swim and run alternating days with a 5k bike ride every day. After 1 week I am already noticing that I am losing body fat and gaining muscle, also adding in a protein shake every day. I was wondering if anybody else has an interest in triathlons :).

I've done a few as training for work (I'm a surf life saver) Swmming, Biking and Running for finish.
I enjoy doing them, but unfortunately I don't have the time for the constant training. The great thing is the things you learn in the training for this will go on for other training/workouts you do and you will be able to keep yourself in great shape.
I used to greatly struggle with triathlons as I had to buy another bike.
I had a mountain bike and a BMX, and my all mountain type, full suspension Merida mountain bike did not perform well in a triathlon. and I've found the bike part of the triathlon to be a maker or a breaker, so make sure your practising heavily for all of them.
Congratulations for getting into triathlons and getting yourself fit, and enjoy yourself!
