A species that desires to explore infinity before it even has a full grasp of its oceans is a species with backwards proprieties. True or false?

False. Space is pretty fucking cool.

I thought this topic was going to be about making artificial islands to help the overpopulation problem vs. colonizing space.

Backwards: True.
But not for this.
We can multitask.
So False.

Oddly enough, space exploration is in some ways easier than deep sea exploration. Mostly because countering extremely heavy pressures is a lot harder than creating artificial pressure.

False. People know more about the surface of the moon than they know about the bottom of the ocean.

To me we should really know our own planet before we start to know whats around us, if you think about it it's utterly sad how we want to know about things out of our reach, when in reality we don't even know half of what we swim in.. Fish in, or even whats in it.

isnt it even worse that we're trying to discover these things when we're having problems taking care of the places we control now? shouldnt we redirect our resources to environmental studies instead of exploring space or exploring the ocean?

Go and try and go to deepest depths of the ocean, OP. That's why.

Space is where our future lies so in my opinion its should be our number one priority
Earth is gonna die no matter what but our species doesnt have to have the same fate as Earth

What makes you think the earth is going to die? It's not even alive...
