Hi...I was just wondering...where is your Hymen? I was told it was at the opening of the vagina- then far inside...I'm so confused!

It is the skin protecting the entrance to the vagina. It can tear through vigorous activity (Horseback riding, cycling, etc), or your menstrual cycle can tear through it. c:

when i was little (6-9)and in dancing classes i noticed a little blood one time in my undies ,and i asked the coach about it .. she said it happens all the time with girls in dancing, sports, gymnastics , and heavy exercises ,butt even a small hair brush won't pop it all the way....it takes something larger . my g/f and i were messing around when i was 11 or 12 and she did it to me with her thumb, but it still was not all the way..when my b/f and i finally ndid have sex it pop'd even more , like all the way ....thats when it hurt , but not bad !

Hymen is the tissue covering the opening of the vagina. Your hymen can be easily be broken. As stated (examples), it can be broken by horseback riding, gymnastics, inserting a tampon, or even masturbating. No, you do not have to have sex to have your "cherry pop." Mine has been "popped" and I am still a virgin.
