How do we define piracy

So how do define piracy with tv shows and movies on tv.I and alot of friends have PVRS for recording tv and moves when u look at piracy sites like TPB the pirate bay most tv shows there are recorded using a pvr and on youtube to.So whats ur opinion and most know that piracy is copying a dvd and selling it but then again i have being told making copys and giving them out
is piracy.With a game its diffrent

I pirate everthing i have, games, movies, software...
And I do not see whats wrong by doing so, if i like the product I will say thanks to the actual creator and to the Pirater for giving this to me.
Also its all done online now so forget about selling crap, people dont do that anymore.
Everthing is pirated usually in free Torrent files or peer-to-peer file sharing, which is also free.
