It's a book by Chad Kultgen.
So I'm not even halfway through this and already decided that this does not depict the average american male. All the character talks about is sex with women other than his girlfriend. That's how I was when I was 13 ish. And this guy is out of college.
So is this book accurate to you? Is that everything men think about? Has anyone read it? Thoughts?

Any book that genralizes that large of a group of people is bound to be idiotic, and just fucking stupid. Like those dumb women books that are like "How to get your guy to stop watching football and notice you" or "Why men marry bitches". There's a restaurant here that has a whole bunch of books by some dumbass that does that. "How to be tolrant when you know you're smarter than everyone else" or "How to understand us guys". If I could I would hold him down and take a shit right on his face. Let him categorize that and write a book about it. "How to handle a dump on your beak."

I know it's fictional. But so is the title IMO. I was just wondering what you guys thought of it.

The thing about this book that I hate is how he uses a stereotype for men in hopes of convincing the audience that this book will tell them how all men work. Maybe I worded that weird. What I mean is that he uses the typical sex addict douchebag cliché to get readers thinking that they learned something about men. And it doesn't just bother me because I want to defend my gender, it also just makes me think that the author isn't very clever at all. And yet here he is at the top of the charts in the iBook store. People are DUMB! lol

A lot of stupid books are popular. What sets this one above the others to the point where you felt it necessary to complain? You can easily pick apart any book and say its representation of one group or another is misleading and unrealistic, it just happens to be less subtle in this one. So what?

Because so far, its one ofthe more dissapointing books I have read in a while. Also, I think its worth debating wether the author has captured the subject of the title or not. I'm looking for discussion (that's why it's here) but I guess if everyone finds the book as pointless as I do, then I really haven't accomplished that goal. Plus I'm curious as to if it's worth finishing. Has anyone finished it? This is why I made the post Sage.

Titles aren't necessarily meant to be accurate. You can't read a novel if you've no grasp of irony or hyperbole or literary devices like that. For all we know, the book could be portraying an existing stereotype and exagerating it to point out the ridiculousness of it.

You clearly don't seem to be enjoying it, so I don't see why you'd bother. Good novels are good all the way through, you shouldn't have to wait until the end to appreciate the story.

I am assuming it's supposed to be how men are. " It’s a blueprint of how the mind--and penis--of a typical American male works" -some review
And yeah, I think your right, I should be enjoying it all the way through if I should put effort into finishing it.
Edit: I don't know why the quote on re review is showing up like that.
