Can anyone suggest a decent program to get songs from my iPod to my PC, that is free??
I want to listen to it on my PC but hate iTunes, and they all were ripped from CD in iTunes.
Thanks

I think you can do that with Windows Media Player(not sure about that, though), or Rhythmbox(if you use Linux).

This (http://www.copytrans.net/) is the program I suggest. Though, you can only do about one hundred songs before you have to buy it.

Spotify does it, if you have it.

Nah, it doesn't work with Windows Media Player (at least not when I tried it.)

A friend suggested that one. I found the 100 song limit, he told me you could do it with one of the other programs in the series, but you cant :/
I guess I should mention that I run Win7 Ultimate and have an 8gb, Gen 2 Touch

It's twenty U.S. dollars, which is nineteen Australian dollars, so I suggest you buy it since you won't find any free programs that do what it does.

Yeah, I might do that, it would be a good investment

If you plug your ipod into the computer, and go to itunes. Once it shows up you should just right click on the name of your ipod and it should say something like transfer. And just click that and it transfers (did it for me). Or you can update itunes, and theres a new program in the itunes store where you can get all your purchases into your itunes library.

No. Stop right there.
He said he didn't want to use iTunes. Please read the OP before replying.
Thanks :)

I have music in my iPod that I don't have on my PC. I don't like iTunes. The program is rubbish. I want to get them on my PC so I can use them with WMP. It is currently unavailable to transfer onto the pc using iTunes, that's why I need another program to do it for me.

This is correct.
Im thinking about just buying the program if there isn't any freeware programs.

Re-rip your CD's to WMP.

I remember once my computer was wiped, and all my music was solely on my iPod. I don't think I could find a freeware program, at least one that wasn't limited due to a trial period. I do know of a fantastic payware program that I purchased. I don't have the name on me now, but it didn't require iTunes, and it worked perfectly. It had a good UI and got the job done quickly. I'm on my phone at the moment, but once home I'll edit this post to include the name of the program.

Thanks for that mate.
Over half my music isn't on CD, so I don't want to loose it
