i was hanging out with one of my friends a few days ago, just me and her, and we were just talking. whenever she was like talking to me, she would look at me for a little bit and then look to other things around the place and keep talking to me. what does that mean? i was thinking it means that she doesnt really want to talk to me and was just trying to hide that she was annoyed... (but i didnt think that was the case since she was all excited to see me when i came over...) so im really confused... any ideas what this means?

either she wants to talk about it and is uncomfortable talking about it with you,
or she is not sure where you "stand" on the topic......

Sounds to me like she's trying to make eye contact then shying away. Or....idk, that's all I got, sorry. Hope this helps?

I tend to do that whenever an adult or my teacher talks to me, its as if i am not comfortable with the conversation at times, but in actual fact i am ok, i would still carry on the conversation but avoiding direct eye contact.
But this varies from person to person, she may not what to have direct eye contact, because she either has something to hide, or because shes just like me, whom dont enjoy direct eye contact.

It may be rude, but i just dont like people looking into my eyes,
A common sign you may realise she tends to look at people who walk by, or at time just glancing at her mobile.

It may also be shes finding a pause to think in order to carry on with the conversation.
The mind needs to process the details and finding a suitable answer or respond.

I'd suppose it happens when the conversation gets alittle hard to answer or just plain nervous.

Dont worry too much about it, untill she tends to shift the topics and stuff, thats when you realise that the conversation is not going in her favour and you should spice it up alittle.

Read up on body language, its pretty much true when it comes to that.

Good luck

yea! you basically described what she acts like sometimes! yea, the reason im asking is because she seems like shes looking right at some other people when she talks to them, but doesnt look right at me the whole time when she's talking to me... i was thinking its because she was nervous, but then i couldnt think of a reason she would be nervous around only me...
