Ok as long as they are not forced and the pateint agrees with it

If it is terminal illness then i see it as an okay way to end the suffering but personally I would go through every agonising second just to get another second of life.

Crazy, but truly up to the patient. If I was terminal and wasting my families hard earned money for just another 6 months to be bed ridden or not productive. By all means, I think it is justified. Hard to see me actually doing though, but I can fully understand someones reason for doing it.

I'm all for it. Forcing someone to stay alive when they're in pain, or a burden, and they very much want to die is horribly cruel. Let them go in peace. Their lives are already over.

If I was old and lived my life and was in incredible pain due to being terminally sick, hell yeah I would want someone to stop me from living. That's the only way though.

This. I think doctor assisted suicide is okay.

If it's terminal, agonizing sickness, then yes, it's perfectly alright. It's not normal suicide, not by far. As long as it's justified, and done by consent o the patient, I think it's an honorable way to go out.

As long as the patient isn't physically killing themselves, and they are terminal and in a lot of pain, then I would probably be OK with it.

I say something along this line in every assisted suicide thread:

I support the unrestricted right for a person to end their life by non-aggressive means for any reason or no reason at all.

It's the person's life, and they may do whatever the hell they want with it. End of story.

Well it seems as though we all agree then.

Not really. Plenty of posters only want it to be available for people with terminal illnesses.

Well, I'd agree with it. But like a few posts before me, wasting my families money buy being a vegetable, no thanks.... I'd rather not do that.

I believe that if the patient asked the doctor to do it, he/she should, but not if the doctor just feels like the patient would be better off dead

you know my aunt was very very sick and we live in wisconsin and she suffered for about a month fightting cancer even though she knew she wouldnt win and my uncle scavaged drugs for her and that whole time she probably wished to go to California and get it over with i feel if they really want to let them do it

I think of it as putting an old sick dog down, except the dog has the choice, not the master's family.

Personally, I feel that if someone is suffering and they are in constant pain and they want to end it then it should be there choice! It makes me sick that if a dog becomes ill and is already old its put down straight away but we let our own kind suffer even if they don't want to.

In all honesty, though I would not necessarily support it, it's entirely up to the person partaking in the euthanasia. It's his/her life and his/her body. So it should be left to him/her to make his/her own moral and life choices.

I think it would depend on the person, I personally probably would if i was terminally ill and they had no cure and things weren't improving, but then again others may disagree.
