Okay so i've always been pretty much the little guy, and in hockey It is great...My skills far exceed people and speed kills them...but I need more brute force and muscle. Like I need suggestions on how to gain some nice muscle weigh before hockey this fall so I can be more than just a force when not touched...... I'm already working but like I need product suggestions and stuff (SPORT APPROVED BY Hockey Canada, if you don't know if it is then just tell me ill research myself...)

Before a workout try "Jack3d" the stuf is great energy and a brilliant pump, I get great gains when I'm on it. Also maybe every month take a week off it because your body gets used to it. Also maybe try some mass gainer powder, it will just add weight you need to eat loads of calories if you don't have a deficit of calories you will not gain muscle, remember though you won't be as fast if you get bigger. Any other questions about it feel free to message me.

Definitely protein. You want to be eating a lot... ideally 1 gram of protein per pound of body mass per day. If you do that, and continue to work out with some strength training involved, you will gain muscle mass.

It also requires eating the protein properly. Your body can only digest ~50 grams per meal, so you have to split it up right. That's what protein shakes will help the most with - that and protein right after workouts, which is often quite helpful.

As for which product, I think pure protein is the best choice. I've generally used a combination of whey and casein powders, casein for right before bed, whey for general protein and workout shakes. If you're really thin and have a really hard time gaining weight, though, a more mass gain-oriented product might be better.

bench press, curls, leg presses, butterflies. i used to play hockey before my back injury, now i can't, but i had a crazy work out, and protein before, during, and after your workout will help. i like the iron man system and then there's a new one by someone, it's pre work out, during, and then after and it's designed to help tear down build up. i prefer eating eggs before a work out, cooked, then a homemade whey shake with a banana or strawberries, during my workout. and a muscle milk post work out. i stopped the iron man cause it's expensive and yea since i can't play, it's not worth it.

In that case go for big muscle groups do heavy back, leg and chest workouts, to gain mass and strength look to do 5-8 repititions of a lift with a heavy weight, back workouts are: wide grip pull ups, lateral pull down, one arm dumbbell row, straight leg deadlift and reverse flies.

Chest workouts again 5-8 reps and obviously lifts like bench press, incline/decline press, weighted push ups and flies for that.

Legs do a bit of a lighter weight and try and do maybe 7-10 reps and maybe 4-5 sets with Squats, Hack Squats, deadlift and you can also do some leg press and stuff if you want but freeweight exercises are better.

Remember if you are trying to bulk up and gain power you need a deficit of calories, so you might gain some bodyfat while you are bulking up which means goodbye to washboard abs but if you do cardio often you will soon lose it.

When I played hockey I listened to music (why I dressed) and after I was done getting dressed I streched out a bit to get loose and get fired up and get focused and then before we left the lockeroom I closed my eyes and took deep breaths to make sure I am focused hope this helps! :D

like everyone said, protein. If your looking for a all around protein, just buy a whey protein from your local fitness/nutrition stores that is very well known. Some versions of whey protein are Optimum Nutrition's "100% whey gold standard", GNC's "anabolic pro performance", or Muscletech's "Nitro-tech". I suggest staying away from the whey proteins on commercials because they are mostly made with fillers that just make you bloated and dont help with building muscles.

But i also have some suggestions on some supplements that either I or friends on mine have tried but i dont know if they are approved for your sport.

One suggestion i do have that probably half of the guys on my football team has tried is "Pink Magic" by USPLabs. If you are young and you are first starting out on supplements, this would probably be your safest choice since most of the stuff I or my friends take would most likely be banned in your sport if you are a tested athlete for performance enhancers.

For the actual workout... if you have a home gym 20 forehand vertical rows then 20 backhands, next 20 bench presses, then 20 "wings" take a weight in each hand and raise them both shoulder height slowly, next 20 twist sit ups and 20 push ups (10 clappers, 10 dive bombers) oh and 40 curls (20 each hand)... this is my work out i am 14 and i can bench 90. I'm 5"3 and 100 pounds so i am huge either. Also personally every morning raw egg banana chocolate shake with protein powder. Good luck :)

couldnt have said it better. you may not tone your abs as much but your arms and legs will get bulkyer expecially if you wear them ALL day. if there comfortable enough sleep with them. when you finally take them off for a game or something you will feel sooooo much more energy and strength

Ha, HA, I had to laugh at this. In your mind your are better than everyone else. I always get a good laugh out of narcissistic people.

Seriously though , you might want to take CLA supplements. I know that is mainly promoted as an fat loss supplement but I have read it can help build muscle as well. I can't independently/personally verify that. But it might be worth researching. I hope that helps.

It not just my mind (; ....haha jk sorry for me being a bit of a stuck up "narcissistic" person..... But all I was saying is since im smaller I am faster, and have more skills...skills don't make you a good player unless your in a league where you only need that which there is none like that......Im not saying im great or even going to ever make it to a junior A program the way I am....All I want is how to build my self up to be able to....I am only 1/2 of a good player....

No , I understand, perhaps I was a little hasty in posting what I did.( it is just when people come off as narcissistic, to me that is more annoying than impressive, because after all .., as they say talk is cheap. Actually after reading through the whole thread and your comments , I commend you for your discipline and focus. ( if I read your comments correctly)

Also, I other than what I mentioned in my earlier post , what I think is an goo web site is http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/find-a-plan-muscle-building-teen-male.html, which helps you develop a good fitness plan for what ever your goals are.
