for a girl. she's so pretty and nice. shes a year older than me.
to make it even worse i have to see her 2-4 times a week for practice.
theres no talking myself out of liking her.

Why don't you want to like her ?

Other than she being a girl, and you being a girl, is there another reason why do you feel you should not like her?

If its because its a gender issue, then i believe you are not being opened enough to give it a try.
The only way to know your own sexuality is to explore the emotional factors within the same gender.

Knowing yourself would give you a better head start, after which it is entirely up to yourself if you wish to go into self denial.
But if it does proves that you are not emotionally attracted to a girl, then its likely you are straight.

But this could also be a one off instance, which applies to only 1 girl and no other.
Take your time and understand where you are coming from, and with that in mind, the answers will deem much clearer.

Good luck

As usual, I agree with Kujiro. This is a **person** you are talking about. Her gender shouldn't be such as issue if your feelings are strong and you are a liberated soul. If you two can't get together, it's a matter of ignorance/prejudice/intolerance, and I'm sorry.

its fine to like a person of the same gender, i dont know waht would be the problem.
you just need to not fear anything and just be open minded... we like who we like and thats that.

I think at your age it is perfectly normal to want to be with someone of the same gender, because and like 90% of teens are curious,. If you find that after being with her that you want to keep your life that way and you are OK with it, then thats fine. But if you don't ever go and try, how will you ever know who you really are and will be?
