There is this girl that I like and I am not sure if she is interested in me or not. Her friend (who is mad at me) found out that I was planning on asking her out, and she told the girl my plans, and then told me that the girl didn't want to go out with me. I think that she might have said that because I am a senior in high school and she didn't want me around that girl because she is a freshman. First off, I am not at all interested in her for sex, or thinking she is easy. I like the girl for her and would not want to do anything she wasn't comfortable with or want to hurt her. Here are some signs that she has given me that leads me to think she likes me and her friend was just lying:
-On the same day that her friend told. her about my prom plan, she smiled at me in the hallway and called me by my nickname and full name real happily.
-I was at the mall and saw her with a group of her friends, and she initiated a conversation with me and we chatted for a few minutes.
-We used to sit next to each other in orchestra until one day I was moved. She told me the next day that she missed sitting next to me and the girl she sits next to is annoying (which is her friend)
-She asked one of my friends at the basketball game if I was going to show up (I wasn't.)
-I was aiding her teacher in her class one day, and apparently her friends were talking about which guys had a cute butt. Her friend told me that the girl i like thinks i have a cute butt and she shot her a look and said "No I dont!" After this, she asked me if I had a girlfriend, to which i responded with "maybe." After this, she asked me if I considered her as my girlfriend.
- I had a presentation to do in one of my classes about an eye condition that I have a few weeks ago. The day before it, she asked if she could come and watch it. The day of, she came by my locker and told me she was excited to see it.
-I am having surgery for my eye condition in a few weeks, and on the last day of school, she came up to me and asked me when I was going to have it, if I was excited, and all kinds of other questions about it.
Also, just yesterday, her friend told me that she didnt support the idea of me asking her out, although she told me she was looking forward to it because she wanted to see me get rejected. Why did she say this?
Do you think she likes me?
Thank you for reading all of this, and I greatly appreciate your advice
