hey hun
I'm on citralopram, the highest dosage. To begin with side effects are headaches and sickness, you won't feel much like eating because your appetite is zero. Sometimes I had stomach pains, but no worse than period pains. Just take some pain killers.
It actually works wonders, give it around 2-3 weeks and you'll really notice. It gets easier from then on and the side effects wear off.
It basically makes you feel happy, and numb and sort of like nothing is important. Imagine a really ditzy person who just sort of drifts through life with nothing bothering them, smiling.
You'll won't ever feel extremely happy and you'll never feel extremely sad, just sort of content and nothing will affect you that much. You don't have to take it for years, 4-6 month is the usual just to until the depression passes. It's worth a go.

no problem.
i was advised to start small but I felt pretty bad so I took the maximum- probably made the side effects worse.
Tell me how it goes (: it'd be interesting to see if you find it helpful

in my opinion, DON'T bother with it.
i take it, and have taken it for almost a year. I want off of it so bad. If you forget to take it for a couple days straight, shit gets real. It ridiculous. And for the me it doesn't even do what it's supposed to do, and that's help with anxiety. I still have anxiety. My pediatrician (who isn't the one who prescribed it) says she wants to switch me over to Zoloft soon cause Citalopram prettymuch does nothing for me.
but yeah, it doesn't work for me, and I don't want to see the same thing happen to someone else. I'm not saying cancel out the possibility just cause of my experience, but take it into account.

maybe after you've used it, gently get out of it... would that help? x

I'm up for trying anything at the minute to be honest. Iv only been on it for a couple of days but I know it takes a month to kick in. But ill see how it goes. If it doesn't a gree with me I'm only on the low dosage so I can probably just stop it if it doesn't work. Iv googled it and it doesn't look like going to do much.
