so today i learnt that i can use a ad hoc to connect my laptop to my xbox saving me from buying a 100$ wireless router i have a ethernet cable 1 sides the got the thing t o plug into teh xbox360 teh other goes inot my internet slot from what im told i have a HUAWEI mobile connect 3G as my internet its dongle so how i get a conection between the 2 or hook them up what ever i hope i u can help me cause i really want to play halo reach online BTW my conection speed is 7.2 mbps download

To get it to work, you need to bridge the connection on your laptop.
Do do this go to Run (Windows Key + R), and copy/paste this into the box that pops up: "explorer.exe ::{7007ACC7-3202-11D1-AAD2-00805FC1270E}"
Once you're there, select both your 3G dongle & your ethernet port you have your Xbox plugged into (To select them both, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting), then click on 'Bridge Connections', and follow the on-screen pormpts from there.

It will still work. I can do it in Windows7 right here.
The same result can be obtained by going to your "Network Connections" thing.

okay so i figured it out some how i used my pc wifi and made a wireless ad hoc the xbox found it connected now i cant figure out how i got the newtwork i made to use my internet some how i did it and was on xbox live all day but had to move the pc and cant figure out how to do what i did can u help with this please :D
