I seen a question that peeked my interest on Yahoo Answers. It was asking if it was OK to surf in open waters while on a period. Well with shark week and all, I though, hey why not a guy can put his 2 cents in. So I answered that she should take caution to use tampons and such, cause Sharks can literally smell a droplet of blood for miles. Well they said that guys can't answer that question ( Yahoo Answers, not Virtualteens.org) and that the chances of a shark attack while on period is very slim. They also said sharks are not attracted to period blood which I find not true cause blood is blood, they are absolutely attracted by blood.

So my question is: Do you think it's safe to surf in an open ocean while on the period. Do you think the risk of shark attack while you are on your period are pretty high?
