Steralise?

I was reading a post(Can't remember which one) and they said they steralised the 'tool' first. I don't do it and I was just wondering if anyone else steralises their 'tools'??

Peroxide or alcohol pads is what I used but I don't think that's what you are supposed to use.

Hydrogen Peroxide is good. Pretty much any kind of rubbing alcohol. Its always good to make whatever tool you're using sterile. If you're going to do what you do, make sure to be somewhat safe.

I think that was probably me. Its always better to be safe [ha..I know ironic]
Any sort of antiseptic wipes, I use very hot water [to kill bacteria] but then make sure its completely dry. If you don't it rusts, and you end up needing a tetanus jab because yep you guessed it you've cut yourself with a rusty blade. Not pleasant, a tetanus vaccination a made me really sick.
As if you werent feeling bad enough to SH in the first place right ! ah lol

afterwards on your wounds use an antiseptic cream like sudocream or savlon.
I do not condone you SH-ing, but these are tips to stay as infection free as possible.

It just helps for me to cope by SH-ing. It is very ironic...lol. After I just tend to use a paper towel, wait for it to dry and leave it. Thank You for you comments

Yeah, i try to clean off everything reasonably well. Infections are a bitch.

I never do that... My old blade completely rusted and died but I still used it like the I-don't-give-damn person I am. Haha anyway after I threw it away a year ago and stayed cut free, I relapsed and now I'm using scissors from my pencil case xD I still take it to school for school work lol. And the handle is pink and green haha...

But yeah I should probably steralise it

I don't sterilize my razors first. But I honestly don't care if I get infections. I like how the infection hurts. I'm insane, I know.. I hate it, but I love it all at the same time.

Windex, a large bowl, and an unwanted T-shirt should do. :)

I never clean my blade, but I will sometimes clean out my cuts.

Depends, but usually I'll put my blades in boiling water to sterilize them. I'm naturally a bit of a clean freak anyway so i do this to most things including my toothbrush. As much as I think I deserve the pain of an infected cut mentally i cant bring myself to do it.

I've never sterilized blades further than rinsing them with the anti septic I use on cuts and that's only if there's blood on them.
I see my doctor regularly to check the cuts anyway, so if i get an infection I get an infection. Sure it probably isn't fun. But at the end of the day I'd deserve it.

Honestly, i used to always clean them. But now i dont at all, i have had an infection and it isnt nice, but it was my own fault. If im desperate i dont care what i use.

I only wipe off the blood,to not rust the razor,other then that,unless im completely desperate because I have nothing to use,and find glass shards on the ground,I dont.
