Descendants of Darkness (Kinda bromance...y... xD)
Angel Sanctuary (I have never watched it, it's shojo, and has a beautiful plot from what I know)
Shiki (Horror)
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Psychological mind fuck)
Elfen Lied (Aimed at males, but females watch this as well. Very emotional. ^_^ I love it)
Candy Candy
Black Butler
Death Note (Never seen it, but it's apparently amazing xD)
Uraboku (Never seen it, 24 episodes, plan on seeing ^_^ It's shojo/Fantasy)
If you like magical girl anime, I'd suggest Pretear. (I have never seen it, but from what I know, it's not cliche at all!)
Oh and if you can handle a little Ecchi
School Days (I don't get why people hate it so much, honestly. <3)
High School Of the Dead (Zombie anime. I have never seen it, but my friends say it's good)
