terraria server help

Hay all wondering if any can give me a hand working out how many people i can have on my terraria server.I have a 2.0 ghz intell quad core 2 gig ram and a
7.8 mbps dl speed upload speed is about 1.2 mbps.A mate and i play on my dedicated server.I have about 600 mbps ram spare when were playing on server and only 18% of my network is used so any help would be awesome :D

The Terraria forums estimate the required bandwidth being 7Kbps both ways per player, so your own network should allow you to host a hundred players.

As for CPU and memory requirements, I didn't find much about it - probably make tests with a couple friends and extrapolate - but unless the server is unusually demanding, my guess is that network resources are going to be the bottleneck more than anything else.

You shouldent have a problem. Terraria is a well coded and optimized game which is quite a rarity these days. You should be able to host between 4 - 10 players :)
