I have the absolute hardest time getting motivated towards school.
I cannot seem to get organized.
Keep Organized.
Stay motivated to work on assignments.

I know that I am actually an intelligent person.
I just can't seem to force myself to work.
I could easily have all A's, but instead I have a 2.0 GPA.
It's so frustrating. I know I can do better but I still never take action and keep to my plan to do better. I truly hate myself for it. I wish that I would've taken the time to do better in high school. Instead, I'm stuck going to a local CC and then a local university. I have no clue what I want to do in life and have little to no opportunities for secondary education because I decided to procrastinate. F*ck me.

Update: I have somewhat realized that when it comes to me actually taking a step in the right direction I have to be independent.
Such as scouts, I was given the chance to slack off and do whatever but eventually I decided to work towards my goal.
I feel that with high school it isn't really up to me whether or not I go. So I have a very hard time working towards improvement.
Thanks for the feedback :)

I just don't get why I have such a hard time with school.

SPOILER: NERD TALk
So, ever since I was about 7 I was put into cub scouts. Went all the way through weblos and crossed over into a troop. I was bad about working on rank advancement for about 3 years. All of my friends quickly surpassed me and that was motivation. I quickly worked towards my goal and got Life Scout within a a year. Jumped 3 ranks. The next year I set to get the rank of Eagle. I set deadlines. worked my ass off, and got it done.

WHY CAN I NOT FOCUS THAT KIND OF EFFORT ON SCHOOL? I DON'T GET IT.

not really sure where this post is headed...
Just venting.

But if any of you have had the same issues, what advice would you give?

My motivation? I always try to be a step ahead of others. If everybody flunks a test, it is no reason for me to flunk it as well. I tell myself: "Why should you do as badly as everyone else if you can do better?" Then I motivate myself to work harder. Still, we all have our limitations, such as my inability to do well in Chinese. I wish you good luck, and I hope I helped.

my brother was like that too.. he pre much fked up in high school and almost didnt make it to graduate..
he went to a local community college for a couple of years then he got accepted to UCLA where he got his bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and now he's working towards his masters in the same field.
he said that college just opened up a bunch of opportunities for him to explore and discover what his true passions were..

what im trying to say is.. just cause you screwed up in hs doesn't mean you can't go places!

I love to be smarter. Not in everything. But if I am better then I need to be the best! It makes me tick :D

The harder I work and achieve, the more options for me open up. Since I have no idea what I want to do when I go to college, this seems like the best option.

Education is important in my family. You go to college, you have no choice. My mom probably won't be able to pay for much of my college education so I have to work hard so that I get the scholarships needed and she can focus on my sister. Also I don't want to be poor when i'm an adult. For me, education is my way up in the world. So that what motivates me.

My guidance counselor and Aunt told me that there is no way I will become an ER Physician.

My motivation is just that I have a love of learning. I love learing knew things and expanding my knowledge. Another reason is because I like to be the very best I can be

This Exactly. I know there's nothing wrong with being working class, because that's what I've grown up around, But I have a bit of a materialistic side. I want some luxury, Is that so wrong ?

Also as bad as it sounds, even though I know it makes me a horrible person I look down upon the uneducated.

I lack motivation, But i don't personally think that Teachers believe how much they can change a child's motivation. Just little "Praises" they can give you can make you feel amazing. My motivation is my Future, I want to be successful and wealthy. Work hard to achieve!
