List all the people who's noticed your cuts and how they reacted
I was in the subway and (i accidentally cut my arm and i knew i was gonna get shit) this lady was just staring at my arm. it was pretty noticeable too but that lady just freaking stared at me until she got off.

Best friend saw it in school. She playfully said "Emo" and I denied, explaining that the term "emo" is actually a just genre of music.
Then her sister noticed, she said she was sad about it, though she had a rather blank expression.
Don't think anyone else really noticed.
I do hate being stared at though. For whatever reason.

Only two people have noticed.
A friend noticed during lunch, but I passed it off as cat scratches.
Another 'friend" noticed that there seemed to be scarred letters on my arm and very loudly said "Do you cut yourself?!" in front of the whole damn class.

My mother noticed on several ocassions, and that got me sent to therapy, partial hospitalization, the ER, and put on medications.
My dad saw and had me put in therapy. But later he became a bit more understanding, and just tried talking me through it.
My sister saw, but I said it was nothing... and she believed that for a while.
Hmmm... lots of friends have seen. Some asked about it, and eventually got the truth out of me; after that they seemed to back away a bit. Others just seemed to believe the excuses I made up.
Think some other people noticed and whatnot, but those are the major ones I can think of for now.

My dad was the first to notice. He didn't say anything, didn't react, I didn't even know he figured it out. But he called my mum who was out of town at the time and told her. Once she got home, I was thrown right back into therapy again. I don't remember them making a huge deal out of it (this was six years ago). I think it was mostly internal though. I remember my mum blaming it on herself. And when I saw that, it hurt a lot. But my parents have a history of mental health problems, so I think it was less shocking than it would be for a lot of parents, though I think in effect they felt worse.
My mum actually reacted to them only once after that. I was already quite desensitized to people looking at my cuts and scars. She asked to see some that were marked by a large plaster on the underside of my arm, and she said in that concerned mother tone, "Oh honey, those are really bad." They weren't that bad in my head. But the last time she had seen them I was just scratching and I had since moved on to a razor blade.
The other big reaction was my friend Deena. She figured it out on her own, it was at school. She took me out into the hallway before class started and pulled off the arm warmer covering about 50 fresh scratches and gave me a little scolding around the lines of "Don't do this to yourself, please." Not in the bad way you can imagine, but she was pretty upset about it, and continued to say similar things when she noticed them later.
When I "came out" to my theatre group, I got several hugs from them. It was during what we called "Discussion Friday," when one of the girls chose the topic of To Write Love On Her Arms. My friend Lilly just got up right in the middle of it and sat down next to me and held me, the same with Morgan. And afterwards a couple other girls came up to me, hugged me, shared their experiences with it. I have a good memory of that day.

I made the mistake of cutting my arms the most, so now just about everyone I meet notices, except for when I have long sleeved clothes on. Doesn't bother me too much, it's none of their business so they can say whatever they like.
A few days ago I was walking down the street and a group of people noticed - abuse ensued :/.

I believe my sister noticed first. I told her I was going through a depression, but she thought it was a joke -.- When she saw, I told her my cat told attacked me.
Mom was like WHOA. And she told me I had to stop playing so rough with the cat.
-.-
Dad was staring at my arm at the dinnertable twice. I know he saw. He just didn't say anything.
I told my best friend, and she said she was gonna help me get through it. <3 I'll help her get through it too.

Aunt, long speech.
My youngest sister came up to me and asked me what happened to my hand. She's too young to understand so I told her I got a scratch because I fell. I felt horrible lieing to her, but it had to be done.
Friend, asked me where I got it, I told her I had a bugbite and scratched it too much, she believed it willingly enough...
Edit: Oh, and that fucking doctor. I hate that motherfucking douchebag of a witch. I hate her mostely because she noticed. I didn't even break skin and she was like *Immagine this in a generic high pitched valley girl voice, because that's how I like to impersonate her, because it really gets the annoying across* "Where did you get that cut?" Me: Um... I don't know... Her: "Well it HAD to be self inflicted, it's too perfect to not be." me: well, I don't know where I got it. her: *to my aunt* Is she getting help for this? I need to know because it can cause infection blah blah bladey fucking blah *goes on for 18 minutes on the subject, then goes into the subject on how it snowed recently, and the power was out, and how she's so fucking special cuz she could cook over a stove because she was in the girlscouts and her mommy taught her how to, the talking. never. ends.* "
Sorry, just remembering it makes me so fucking pissed. Crazy lady got SO damn worked up about two little lines on my arm when I didn't break skin. Yea it was a little red, but crazy bitch wouldn't listen when I said it couldh ave been becasue I leaned against something that day. THen my aunt didn't believe me either. Yes I did it myself but the stupid bitches wouldn't even consider ANY other fucking possibility... ugh.

My mom noticed and she was like "Oh my god! What happened to your arm/leg?? Did you CUT YOURSELF?!?!?!?" Not cool...
The doctor did too, she just asked "What happened to your arm??" She was shocked.
I think a couple of my friends did too, a year or so ago. Maybe 2. They just asked what happened. Nobody really thought it was self-harm.
Oh and my self-defense teacher did too, I told him I ran into a table(dumb lie) but I think he fell for it.

I had a guy in school notice. He was one of those jocky, head football player, guys. He was loud about it in our group and was like "WOH do you cut yourself?" I'm really good about hiding my scares (Which these were) but he saw it because my shirt road up. It was embarassing, but I just said I had no clue what he was talking about and went back to reading MacBeth :P
A younger friend of mine noticed (That same year) and asked me "Hey what happened to your arm?" once again in front of people. I laughed and, referring to something I read forever ago, told him I got abducted by aliens and got caught in some wire that was going with me.
A man one time asked me what was on my arm while I was at work. Thankfully, I had a fake tattoo on my OTHER arm at the time, and just side stepped him by lifting that arm up and going "OH? THIS? It's a tattoo? Isn't it awesome!?---" And going on and on about it while I finished his sandwich so he couldn't get a word in edge wise!
I find it's easier just to throw them off so they have no time to respond:cool:! Lots of people notice them here lately. The scars on my shoulders from four years ago seem to be more noticeable these days, and my wrists have thick red scars that stand up and out on my arm. If someone even touches my arms in the dark they wouldn't know. I can't avoid it anymore.

most people who know about it, is because i told them. really regret telling them.
The few friends that did notice sat me down and said i needed to get help. The problem was that i was in a good mood when they confronted me so i just stayed silent and nodded along to their advice. It was humiliating.

I have had a very simular reaction to this, execept every time this jerk saw me he would do like a cutting motion and laugh. :/
Mum cried. Friends did nothing. Sister beat me up. Cousin begged me not too.
Other than that no one really cared. The odd stranger has seen, and its like you know they are whispering about you behind your back, but never said anything offensive to my face.

Lol:) Erm for me I keep my cuts and scars hidden at all times by wearing long sleeve shirts and jumpers. My doctor found out(Not intentional) when I went for a shoulder problem and didn't say much really. Other than that I haven't told anyone and I keep them well covered so no one sees them.

Just told one of my best friends and he made me promise to never cut again. He doesn't understand that it's an addiction.

My younger sister noticed and she flipped, but not because she was mad or anything. she saw the designs and though they were cool. She start saying she wanted some, not knowing why I did it. I lied and said it was a type of tattoo I learned off the internet and she wanted one. I said "No, lets be something just for me." She asked if she could tell our mom and I told her no.
She's going to tell eventually. I don't know when but I know she will.

So many people have noticed.
My dad, asked me about it, and I told him too 'forget it'. He did, because he is weak.
My mum, who yelled at me and said 'That's such a stupid path too go down! Why?!" Too which I responded in tears and told her 'it's nothing, it's nothing.' She couldn't of cared too much because she left it alone.
One of my best friends confronted me after seeing cuts on my arm. I told her almost everything. She was supportive enough.
A friend who asked and who I snapped at, telling her 'It was nothing.'
Another best friend who questioned it and resulted in me leaving the room in tears. I felt pretty stupid after that.
A friend who jeered at me when seeing it, saying 'you got cut up real bad' whilst laughing. I do condone her behaviour, she was simply being ignorant, like every human out there.
Finally, and most recently, my boyfriend noticed. I explained pretty much everything too him, and he is the first person who has really tried too help me.
