First, before I go into detail, I have no idea whether I am straight or not. probably bi, but who cares..
anyways.. am I the only one who isn't interested in having a boyfriend or girlfriend at the moment? i'd love to be loved like that.. but it probably wouldn't last long.. i'd get comfortable, share my secrets, get close, and then get my heart broken.. i wanna get married and find love at some point, but i feel like even at 16, i don't want a boyfriend/girlfriend..
am i the only one who thinks like this?

No you're definitely not the only one as I could really care less about having any other significant person in my life other than friends...I mean it would be nice all but I just really don't want someone now and it probably wouldn't last long for me either...So you're def not the only one (-:

You're so not alone. I'm almost 20 years old and my all my friends and siblings my age have boyfriends, and I don't. My cousin constantly tries to introduce me to new guys and for some reason I'm not really interested in being in any relationship. I'm straight to it's not like I'm not into guys but for some reason I couldn't care less about being in a relationship right now at this point in my life. Most girls my age can't wait to have a boyfriend, but for some reason it's the last thing on my mind. I mean I've been in relationships, and for the most part I think they're overrated sometimes. I enjoy being alone for the most part, but sometimes it'd be nice to have someone to hang out with, but I think I'm afraid of commitment.

i have a gf, but i know you aren't alone. my foster sister is perfectly happy being single and she's 17 i think. they come from a very strong christian home and believe in courting only, so the man she courts is the man she intents to marry. she also doesn't want sexual pressure, because she wants to save her first kiss for her husband on their wedding day. this courting rule applies for the guys in the house too, not just the girls, except for me. i have a gf and we date.

Your not alone, as you can see! After I was cheated on, I gave up on relationships and decided to stay away from them for a while! Im finally starting to get back to wanting a boyfriend but alot of people dont want relationships because they dont think it is worth the heartbreak that will most likely happen. Dont worry, when you are ready or you find someone thats worth it, you might change your mind!

i shouldnt worry about it, I know plenty of people older (and the same age) who are perfectly happy on their own cos they havent met the one they want to spend the effort and time on. S/he will come along some day. :) xxx
