by mistake

i cut myself by mistake.....does that count as self harm because the ironic thing is that its a really long mark right next to my scars...its so noticeable...jeez i'm so screwed. It didnt even relieve me.....so confused here

I would say it wasnt self harm, as you say it wasnt deliberate and self harm is usually cateogorised as hurting yourself intentionaly.

No it's not self harm if you didn't do it on purpose to cause yourself pain. I've done similar things though, I've managed to get scratches next to the scars on my arm. That was a bitch to explain to my dad :P
