We should have one to discuss and chat to people XD and so we can get to learn about eachother more.

Nah, this is never going to happen officially.
Most of us here don't want to mix our VT life with our Personal life, and most of us don't even want people knowing about VT.
It's a good idea in theory, but not that many members would join.
That said, there's nothing stopping you from creating one.
Also, this has been suggested, and shot down before: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=43590 ;)

No, good idea but no. At first i was like "yeah there should" but then a read some of these comments and realized it was true. I don't want all my friends and family knowing some of the stuff I put on here. I want a safe haven, Facebook is open to too many people that will used this stuff against me.

Number one way to have your idea rejected: Mention Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or some other network of the sort in your OP.

This kind of goes against not sharing FB links publically.
If some sort of group existed, it would NOT be staff endorsed.

So I can't join it? XD
But anyway. I wouldn't mind it personally. If you really wanted, you could make it so you were unrecognizable. I have friends who know I'm on this site but most don't care enough to do enough snooping to find me (not hard, but you'd have to stumble upon one of my posts first) and all the stuff I post here, I wouldn't care if those people knew it because there's nothing I've posted here that I wouldn't want those people to know. And anyone who I friend on Facebook isn't going to be someone who I dislike, or would use information I've posted against me. If you've seen my page, you'd know I don't go around friending just anyone and everyone.
But yeah, this is never going to happen officially.

Yeahhhhh no, I don't want private friends to find out about VT, nor do I want anyone from VT to discover my facebook profile.

No, like everyone said above, its an awesome idea, but the fact of it is, people share stuff on here that they cant share on facebook, so mixing the two would result in a bad situation.

No, bad idea. I don't want any of my school classmates to find out about this place...

This is a place of deepest solace, its sometimes easier to talk to a complete stranger than to bring out such topics to someone you know .
Like mod thor mentioned, technically ideal. But not rational.
VT should stay as VT is, this seclusion brings people to face their questions, questions always asked, but never taught in school.

This would also come under as, Virtual Teen is not a social networking site, its a teen help site, and a facebook page just isnt necessary

If there was a VT group, I'd never join it. Nobody knows about my fight with anorexia, depression, borderline personality, OCD, bipolar disorder and self-harm. I intend for it to stay that way. if anyone were to find out my account was FaithAndTrust, I would be teased, bullied and discriminated against. I am open about my problems on VT because of the anonymity. Without it, I would find no solace in this site.
