How do i know if i have it?

i'm jsut curious, like, how do ppl nkow or get an inkling that they have ADD or ADHD?

you fill out like a little survey test thing and if the things on the test apply to you then they know you have it.

I have all the symptoms of regular ADD but no ADHD symptoms. To tell you the truth I dont think there even is such thing as ADD or ADHD. We could invent all sorts of so called mental illnesses of which loads of people would fall under the category because of their traits.

Well, even then, it's not a 100% shure way to know. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to test for ADD or ADHD except the survey thing. The problem with the survey is that if you aren't really shure, or you over exagerate your symptoms, you'll get a bad report. Like, when i was in third grade, i got tested for ADD and the doc said i didn't have it (of corse, third grade, i didn't really know what was going on, and it was mostly based on "reports" from my parents and teachers). Then i was retested and diagnosed in the 6th grade with ADD. just saying, it's not 100%, but if you are honest and give yourself a good guess, you should be good :D
