I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. I had a bunny, and it was the most painful experience, losing him. Just let the tears out, let yourself cry, and remember that your dog is going to be in a better place... on the rainbow bridge, waiting for you. ^_^

Moved to family and friends. Seems like a more appropriate place.

On topic, I'm very sorry that your dog is dying, and can only suggest that you just do whatever you need, within reason. Only time will dull the pain that you feel, but while it may not feel like it now, the pain will dull. That does not mean you will forget the dog, however. Remember that the time comes for all of us; it's nature's way of saying that it's time to move on. If you are religious, then you can pray for your dog, if not, remember her.

^^^still doesn't make it any easier to deal with^^^
One of my best friends lost her dog earlier this yr and it devastated her. It is very tough to deal with. Try to remember the good times.

If your dog's time is up, or is down with a chronic illness, we can expect that its about to go, sorry to hear that.
But there are things we have to accept in life, grief and move on.
It does not come to a standstill, life must go on regardlessly.
These are wounds and pain only time will heal.
All the best
