curious if anyone here has a drug problem or has struggled with a drug problem in the past. i'm not talking about smoking weed, i'm talking a serious addiction.

later this month i celebrate 1 year clean from heroin. i enter a program and it helped me get a good start and i've continued outpatient therapy and meetings also.

if you got out of your addiction, how did you do it?

Congrats on getting sober.

I've had a problem for a very long time and I've gave up on staying sober. Meetings (AA and NA) never worked. The school they put me in for two years didn't work. Stupid fucking community service didn't matter to me. Any threats or discipline never bothered me. Overdosing never stopped me. No dangers at all of death. And yes, I know how the outcome will be.

My life got really fucked up. I od'd multiple times and I'm 14. I was running and killing myself doing so.

Congrats on being sober for so long.
I've been struggling with pain killers and other prescription meds for over a year now.
Slowly getting better, but still have a long ways to go.

it's not easy, but possible. keep fighting the good fight and always get up when you fall down, no matter how much it hurts.

I have a drug problem that has persisted for 9 years now. Heroin was my personal drug-of-choice. Outpatient therapy has been a joke for me. The problem is that I just can't imagine my life without drugs. I haven't given up entirely, though.

Congrats on the year clean! I understand that's flipping amazing, man.
