I just trim mine. Shaving it is too much of a hassle.

Shaving of hair does not make it get any thicker, as every strand of hair has its thin and thick ends.
As you shave your hair, you are likely exposing the blunt side of the hair, thus it tends to be coarse; biology 101.
What happens when all the coarse hair group together, it tends to give a perception that it tends to be thicker.
The number of hair follicles are a static number, and hair will only get less if you lose that follicle.
And yes, it would completely grow back unless you damage that follicle.

His explanation of the thicker illusion is spot-on! But yeah, once it really gets growing again you won't notice either way.
I shave sometimes, very occasionally. Mostly I just trim cause it's easier and faster.

Ya it will grow back if you let and it might feel or look thicker. You do have to keep it up if your going to shave it though! like every couple days. I prefer shaving because I think trimming looks unfinished

It does not get thicker nor does it grow back faster. If you give it the time to grow back then it will, eventually.

It only seems like it gets thicker because a) youre not used to seeing hair there after a but when you shave so when it comes back it appears thicker, and b) you develop ever so slightly in between the time so it actually does grow back slightly thicker.
I trim because shaving is just a hassle.
