Im never sure where to start looking for this, so I'm just gonna ask. What's good, what sucks?

Just FYI, I like gore, not much really freaks me out.

If you like Gore, then I can't help you in that department. Body, or Surreal or Psychological, then yes. Because I hate slasher films.

Tokyo Gore Police is good stuff.

The Japanese One Missed call (All 3), 28 Days Later and 28 weeks later, and Salo, or the 120 days of Sodom. O.O

I never watched it, and it's banned in several countries because of its controversy... It's gory, horrifying, and disgusting.

A Serbian Film. Gore, torture, horror. THAT is a horror movie. It's pretty controversial. It's up there with Salo...

whats body? O.oGoogle Ineincephaly -- and take this up to eleven, and think that you might going to have this eventually - yeah, like losing your nose because someone cursed you, or lose your hand because of a failed scientific experience -- that's Body horror.

Cronenberg is a pioneer in this shit.

I was just going to say this. I tried to balls myself up to watch the 'newborn porn' scene but I couldn't bring myself to it. I don't think I'm ever going to watch A Serbian Film.

I only saw the machete scene....

I wanna see the movie just to see if I can handle it. Same with Salo.

I read about the newborn porn scene. o_o

I couldn't look away mostly because of how shocking it was. My interest in this movie is peaked. I kinda feel like a freak, but I generally like horror shock movies like this. I might watch Hostel first though. I bet it'll be a Disney movie compared to Serbian.

Angel:The Hostel movies is probably alot less gory than Serbian because Serbian was banned in here while the Hostel movies was not,i actually saw the second one the other day on TV.I recommend Hotel part 2 if your trying to see how much gore you can take, ive seen both of them and Hostel part 2 was the "best" of the two."The Scythe scene" was the most disturbing scene in my opinion.

Yeah Serbian was banned in Spain too...
I wanna see Hostel (both of them) I just need to find it online/rent it or something. x)

Serbian Film and Salo are two totally different films about different things. Don't go seeing Salo just looking for shock value. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF SATAN, follow the story. Over all of the shock value there is a very important story behind this.

I would actually call Salo a horror film though, but ok.

Serbian Film is something that's made to make you feel uncomfortable and disturbed. Well, if you're someone like me you'll just laugh throughout, but I really thought the movie was a really fun exciting journey through hell and back.

If you're looking for horror films with more of an artistic value, I'd say Let The Right One In is a good choice. Let Me In is the remake and it's good too, but I like the original better no matter what.

David Lynch. I do not need to say more. His films are pure mindfucks beyond reality. Start off with Eraserhead and move your way up his career all the way to Inland Empire.

I am actually comparing the controversy, I am aware of the symbolism behind Salo. (The ending is a very melancholy...[ if that's the right word ] metaphor.)

It's not really a horror film. Really, it isn't.

It's more of a shocker and an enforced metaphor...

But isn't horror and shock exactly what one feels when watching it? (And sadness)
