Well I am hybrid between USA and Japan. I see that Japanese teens and US teens have different body types. Like teens in US are mostly fit and have muscles and six pack abs but Japan, their just skinny and have nothing? :what:

Japanese culture puts more of an emphasis on politeness and education, therefore they will be studying more and won't have as much leisure time to get out and do things like Americans do. Plus, Americans like to "take it off" if you know what I mean. They could be similar, they just won't show you.

I believe these are the 2 causes,
1.) of course is the genetics and ancestry
Japanese are asians, which are generally smaller in build, while americans are larger in build and such.
2.) is the culture difference thus causing evolution
Over hundreds of years in different cultures, people have evolved as well,
May it be food intake, climate conditions, living conditions...

Genetics and culture. I mean I think over the years the diet that their ancestors ate and their current diet probably contribute to it as well. The contrast can be subtle or extreme as there are different body styles in each culture. But I can see what your referring to and it is different how each culture is different (or stereotyped) in the world.
